Volunteering

The Garland Independent School District encourages parents, guardians, and patrons of our district to become an active part of the succcess in our schools by sharing your time and talent as a volunteer.

Contact your neighborhood school and ask the administration there how you can volunteer or see the information below for more details about the variety of volunteer opportunities at the campus and district level.

Volunteering in Our Schools

For the safety of our students, volunteer applicants who will work one-on-one with a student or chaperone an overnight field trip will be subject to a criminal history check.

For volunteers who are subject to a background check: both the Volunteer Application Form and Criminal History Check must be submitted to your campus office to be eligible to volunteer in our schools.
