The ¡Listo! project will address the needs of 40 higher-education faculty members; 1,500 teachers at the participating schools; 1,000 low -income, minority parents; and 3,000 students, 1,000 of whom will be ELL students.
The word "listo" is a Spanish word literally meaning "ready", but also has a connotation meaning "sharp" alluding to intelligence and success. For example, in English, we may say "He's a really sharp student." ¡Estamos listo para un año fantástico! We are ready for a great year!
