The word "liaison" is defined by the dictionary as "an instance or a means of communication between different groups of units of an organization" and as "one that maintains communication." These definitions help clarify the role that the GISD Community Liaisons have in the district - they serve as communication links between the school district and the community. They work to help the district achieve the Goals and Objectives set forth by the Board of Trustees.
