Duke University Talent Identification Program
Each year, Duke University sponsors an effort to identify academically talented seventh grade students nationwide. Students who have scored at or above the 95% percentile on achievement tests are invited to take the SAT as seventh graders. Students who scoring 510 or above on either the math or verbal portion of the test qualify for Duke Scholar status, and students scoring 650 or above on either math or verbal qualify for "Grand Scholar" status. Grand Scholars are invited to a special recognition ceremony on the Duke campus in the summer.
