Children Helping Children
On Friday, March 5th, the Garland ISD Children's Chorus joined with Epsilon Iota in a community service project to raise monies for St. Jude Children's Hospital. We are proud to announce that our concert helped raise $1,802.50!
Summer Workshop June 7 - 10
We are happy to announce our summer workshop will be held at Cooper Elementary on June 7 - 10 from 9am until noon. All students participating in the 2010-2011 school year should be attending. If for any reason you cannot attend, please contact your director. Directions to Cooper on are in the note posted below.
We will perform for our families at 11:30am on June 10th in the Cooper cafeteria. Please plan to join us!

First Performance Fall 2010
Fourth and Fifth grade Members who attended the summer workshop will be meeting on Tuesday, August 17th at Caldwell at 6:30pm to review the music we are performing at Convocation. August 19th students report to the conference center end of the Special Events Center to rehearse at 7:45am. Parent should plan rides accordingly and plan to pick up students at 9:30am.
If members were unable to attend the workshop, they will not be performing at Convocation. We will host a mini makeup workshop for these students on Tuesday, August 24th at 6:30pm at Caldwell. We will get you caught up some before regular rehearsals begin on August 31st. Your first performance will be our October 1st concert.

5th Grade Traffic Plan
It is imperative that we work together to correct the traffic issues we experience when dropping off and picking up the fifth grade students from Caldwell each week. We would like your help in implementing this plan Tuesday, September 15th.
Here is the plan:
When dropping off proceed from Saturn down Lewis, make a left into the parking lot and circle through, letting your students out on the right side of your vehicle. Students can proceed down that sidewalk all the way to the cafeteria door to enter.
Option two would be to pull along the school side of the sidewalk to unload. No student should be crossing traffic. Do not leave your vehicle unattended if you choose this option.
When picking up proceed from Saturn down Lewis, making a left into the parking lot and circle through, pulling down to the end of the circle. We do not need any students crossing through traffic to get into vehicles.
Option two would be to pull along the school side of the street to pick up. No student should be crossing traffic. Do not leave your vehicle unattended.
If you should need to come inside when dropping off or picking up, please park in a parking space.
