Application Process for the Department of Visual and Performing Arts
The GISD is always interested in hiring qualified, dedicated professional educators to lead our students. If you are interested in becoming a part of "Team GISD" please take the following steps.
- Go to the Garland Independent School District On-Line Application Website and submit an application.
- Send an additional copy of your resume to gwjones@garlandisd.net.
- Available Fine Arts positions will be listed on the GISD Human Resources Site.
- Music positions will also be posted on the TMEA jobsite.
- After the Personnel office has had sufficient time to process your application, you may call the following numbers to request an interview.
- Elementary Music, Secondary Art and Theatre Arts - Call the GISD Human Resources office and request an interview with Brenda Hass, Fine Arts Coordinator.
- Band, Orchestra, Choir - Due to the large volume of applications received, interviews are granted on an as need basis. Resumes are reviewed by the building principal and Director of Fine Arts. Applicants will be contacted by telephone or email to set up an interview.
