Applying for Financial Aid

How to Apply

Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the Texas Application For State Financial Aid (TASFA).

The FAFSA and TASFA provide the information the financial aid office at your college or university needs to determine your financial need for federal and state programs, including the TEXAS Grant.

Should you use the FAFSA or TASFA?

Take the online survey provided by College for Texans to find out if you should use the FAFSA or TASFA

The information that you and your parents provide on the FAFSA will serve as the basis for determining your ability for federal student aid. This same form is often used to determine eligibility for state and college aid.
