4x4: HS Credits
in Eighth Grade
Who May Enroll:
Any 8th grade student wanting to get a jump start on their high school credits needed for graduation.
Why:
Any student entering 9th grade starting in 2007 and after will be required to adhere to 4x4 requirements.
4x4 requires students to take four years of math, English, science and social studies for a total of 26 credits (for both the Recommended and Distinguished Plans). This increase in required credits will impact students and make it imperative that they plan accordingly to complete their graduation requirements in four years of high school.
