Injuries and illnesses sometimes occur at school. In the event that your child is seriously injured or seriously ill, GISD personnel will immediately notify you or your authorized emergency contacts.

Summary of Services

The Health Services department’s mission is to serve the diverse needs of a multicultural community by empowering children and parents with the knowledge necessary to promote wellness and maintain healthy lifestyles; therefore preparing students for a successful academic and life experience.

Nurse Bandages PreSchooler's ArmThe Garland ISD Health Services staff is compromised of professional registered nurses (RNs).  Every campus in the district has a nurse working on-site a minimum of three or more days of the week.  Many of the larger schools have a full-time nurse.
