…ensuring all learners resources for success.
Garland ISD has 7 high schools, 13 middle schools, 47 elementary schools, and 2 prek schools. The librarian at each campus can provide passwords for online resources and help with accessing the resources. Individual District Library Catalogs are also available for each school campus.
Our library program provides reading, reference, and leisure reading materials supporting the curriculum to facilitate student success.

Instructional Resource Center
The Instructional Resources Center is available to support Garland ISD teachers by providing them with a circulating collection of audio books, textbooks on tape, videos, kits, novel sets, and professional periodicals.
The IRC also includes a project center where teachers can access a variety of tools for creating instructional teaching aids for their students and classrooms.
The resource center is instrumental in helping teachers implement alternate teaching strategies and learning styles to engage students and improve achievement.
“If you want to become a good writer, you must read!” advised award-winning author Susan Campbell Bartoletti, when visiting Austin Academy students.
