Dress Code Information
The students are encouraged to develop and maintain good dress habits at school and school-sponsored activities. Students are expected to dress in a neat, clean manner and to exhibit good taste in the selection of type and style of clothing.

Please note that while the following represents the district standards for dress code, the final decision in determining appropriate dress and appearance shall rest with the teacher and the principal or assistant principal.
Failure to adhere to established dress and appearance codes may result in disciplinary action.
Standardized Dress Policy
Some individual elementary schools in GISD have a standardized dress policy for students. Campuses observing the standardized dress policy will be able to provide information to parents regarding the clothing requirements.

A standardized dress code is in effect in many of our elementary and middle schools. Students attending these schools are expected to comply with the code of dress and should arrive at school dressed appropriately for the school day. If students do not abide by the dress code, the student may be subject to disciplinary consequences.
