2008 Graduation Ceremonies at the Special Events Center
Garland ISD is delighted to host the 2008 Graduation Ceremonies at the Special Events Center.
What to Know Before Arriving
- Graduation Schedule
- Tickets are required for admission.
- Graduation tickets will be distributed to seniors at their home campus.
- Come dressed for the ceremony. No changing facilities will be available.
- Cameras and video equipment are welcome.
- Graduation ceremonies are formal occasions. Do not bring inappropriate items such as

Tobacco
Alcohol
Fireworks
Tripods
Flowers
Gift bags/balloons
Pets
Poster/Signage
Noisemakers/air horns
Glitter, confetti, rice or birdseed
- No outside food or drink will be allowed. Water, soda and light snacks will be available through our concessions.
- Bags and cases are subject to search. Only bring items you are willing to have checked.

Directions
- The Special Events Center is located at 4999 Naaman Forest Boulevard in Garland.
- From North Garland Avenue, turn east onto Naaman Forest Blvd, one block south of George Bush Turnpike.
Parking
- Parking will be available at the Special Events Center and nearby Naaman Forest High School.
- For your convenience, there will be a shuttle from the Naaman Forest parking lot to the Special Events Center entrance.

Arrival
- The lower level entrance to the facility is on the east side, enter under the large canopy and then go up the Grand Staircase. Continue on through the Upper Concourse into Arena Seating.
- The upper level entrance is on the west side of the building close to the handicap parking.
- Conference center entrance is for GRADUATES ONLY.
After the Ceremony
Due to the tightness of the graduation schedule, please depart the facility promptly and in an orderly fashion after the ceremony.
