**This method of requesting transcripts does NOT apply to GED transcripts. GED diplomas are conferred by the State of Texas - not Garland ISD. If you need a copy of a GED transcript, district staff has to order them from the state. The cost of obtaining a transcript from the state is $5.00. (we are not making money; this is what the state charges.) Please address your GED transcript request to:
GISD Evening School

Notes:
-
Beginning with the 1993-94 school year, GISD discontinued the practice of maintaining files from elementary school or middle school for eternity. With an enrollment at 50,000 students, this is simply no longer practical. All student records for elementary and middle school are maintained for a period of seven (7) years, then are destroyed.
-
After a period of two years, all immunization records are destroyed as well.
If you have other questions about transcripts,
please email Student Services or call us at 972-494-8255.
The Student Services Center is located at 720 Stadium Drive, at
the corner of Glenbrook Drive and Stadium Drive in Garland, Texas.
