If you pay your property taxes yourself (i.e. they are not paid by your mortgage company from an escrow account) there are three methods that you can choose from to pay your taxes:
- Option 1 - Make payments in person at our office
- Option 2 - Mail payment along with the stub on your tax statement
- Option 3 - Via the Internet using a credit card
- Option 4 - Via the Internet using an e-check
Our office hours are 8 am – 4:30 pm, Monday-Thursday and 8 am – 4 pm on Fridays when schools are in session. Our office is located at the northeast corner of State Street and Ninth Street in Garland. Our street address is 901 W. State Street, Suite A. We also have a payment drop box similar to bank depositories available for after-hours payments.
Be sure that the payment is addressed to:
GISD Tax Office
P.O. Box 461407
Garland, TX 75046-1407
Many patrons may prefer to make payment on their tax bill via credit card. To accommodate this, we have arranged for this new payment option. Be advised that use of this option involves a “convenience fee” of 2.5% that will be charged to your credit card account. The fee varies depending on the size of your tax bill.
If you wish to use this option, before you access the site, gather the following information:
- Your account number
- The amount to be paid
