SuccessMaker
Garland ISD elementary students use SuccessMaker, an integrated learning system. SuccessMaker provides a learning environment that offers individualized instruction for each student in the content areas of reading/language arts, math, science and social studies. The learning path for each student is guided using a variety of instructional strategies that are automatically adjusted according to the individual student strengths and weaknesses. In addition, SuccessMaker provides parents, teachers, and administrators valuable student information data to ensure each student is receiving the personalized attention necessary for success.
PLATO Pathways
PLATO Pathways is an integrated technology solution that contains instructional activities for GISD's secondary students of all skill levels, offering students the necessary tools to succeed with reading and language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, life and career skills, ESL, and interdisciplinary learning.
The PLATO Knowledge Transfer Team is a group of GISD teaching professionals who share their knowledge about PLATO products and technology integration, transferring important skills to teachers and offering meaningful learning experiences to students. The team's mission is to support GISD's commitment to integrating technology into the classroom.
