Master Trainer Program
The district has implemented a "master trainer" system - whereby computer savvy staff members are recruited at individual campuses. They learn the necessary software applications and simple trouble-shooting procedures, and in turn serve as "peer teachers" to other teachers on their campus. They also conduct campus-wide training as needed to keep staff members current on changing technology tools and applications.
Each high school campus has 3 trainers and each middle school has 2. Elementary campuses have gradebook master trainers.
On-line Training
Online training for common applications is available for district employees on the Tech Training website.
Hands-On Training
Training classes offer strategies, support, and connections to help teachers integrate technology within their classrooms to meet the needs of each student. Training is offered before, during, and after school hours, and comes with AAT credit to compensate for using their own time to attend.
Note:
Classes offered through this department are for district personnel. For current schedule and/or to register on-line for class offerings, employees should log onto the district intranet site from an in-district computer.
