Designated Transportation Areas:
Upcoming School Year (2009 - 2010)
None of the schools in Garland ISD have attendance zones. Instead, parents may choose the school they wish their children to attend in accordance with the Choice of School Process.
School bus transportation is provided to students living two or more miles from the nearest available school. If a parent chooses a school that is not a neighborhood school, the parent may be responsible for providing transportation to the selected school.
The annual 30 (thirty) day Choice of School Period begins in early January and ends in February. Appropriate maps are attached to the choice form and sent home with students residing in designated transportation areas.
Designated transportation area maps for the upcoming year will be available in January.
