In Memoriam of David Hoskins - Art Teacher
The students and staff at Hudson Middle School are mourning the loss of their much-loved Art teacher, David Hoskins. After a courageous battle with cancer, David passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, February 29.
Mr. Hoskins made an impact on so many students in the 20 years he taught art at Hudson, and he will be missed terribly. Mr. Hoskins was a leader among the Middle School Art Staff and was respected by his peers for his quality instruction and the end product of his students.

2010-2011 Fine Arts Recognition
2010-2011 was another exciting year for GISD Fine Arts students and staff. There were over 750 secondary music performances this year, 120 dance performances, over 275 elementary music programs and more than 100 public performances by the theatre arts students.
A quick look at last year's many accomplishments will show why we are proud in the GISD Fine Arts Department.

Why the Fine Arts Are Important
