Board Notes: November 1, 2007

The Evidence of Excellence award became plural Thursday night at the Harris Hill Administration Building as six Garland ISD campuses were recognized for their exemplary actions.

Six elementary schools – Beaver Technology Center, Davis, Hillside Academy, Kimberlin Academy, Roach and Walnut Glen Academy – were presented with the School Board’s newest form of recognition for being named to the 2007 Texas Business Education Coalition Honor Roll.

Of the 8,000 public schools in Texas, fewer than five percent were placed on this prestigious honor roll.
