District Employees Recognized With Their Own Night at Rangers Ballpark

Workers throughout the district gathered in Arlington last Friday for Garland ISD Employee Appreciation Night at Rangers Ballpark.

Campus Teachers of the Year for the 2008-09 school year are introduced on field before the game.

The annual event is hosted by the Texas Rangers and recognizes GISD for its efforts in public education by offering discounted tickets to all employees and their families.

Campus Teachers of the Year are led onto the field and introduced as a group at home plate during pre-game festivities. More than 60 teachers were recognized at Friday night’s game.

Keith Reimer of the BEST Foundation tossed out the ceremonial first pitch. Texas lost to the Kansas City Royals, 12-3.
