Ecolab grants surpass the $660K mark in GISD teacher awards

Article Date: September 16, 2011

The Garland-based production plant of Ecolab – a global leader in cleaning, sanitizing, food safety and infection control products and services – continued its support of GISD teachers and students Monday afternoon as the company presented the district with $46,800 in grants. Teachers and employees from 42 campuses benefitted from Ecolab's donation, which is generated through the company's employee campaign.

Since 1987, Ecolab employees have given $665,249 to the Garland ISD. "This district has truly benefitted through its relationship with Ecolab," said Keith Reimer, director of the BEST Education Foundation. "The generosity of their employees is incredible. It is quite a feat for a company to have employees give more than half-a-million dollars of their own money to support education in their community."
