Center for Disease Control (CDC) Launches MRSA Campaign
The CDC has launched a national campaign to get MRSA information out to parents, and to help teach parents how to keep their children safe from skin infections caused by the potentially dangerous bacteria methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA).
According to the CDC, well-informed parents are a child's best defense against MRSA and other skin infections. Recognizing the signs and receiving treatment in the early stags of skin infection reduces the chances of the infection becoming severe and spreading.
