Primary purpose

Oversee the day to day duties of preparation of all Athletic fields.

Qualifications

Education/Certification

High School Diploma or GED

Valid Texas driver’s license with good driving record/CDL preferred

Minimum 2-3 years Athletic filed maintenance experience required

Strong background in landscaping, irrigation, turf care, drainage, and fertilization

Knowledge of field preparation of Athletic events

Experience with various types of grounds equipment

Ability to complete additional duties assigned

Experience

Minimum two to three (2-3) years’ experience

Experience with lawn care and athletic fields maintenance

Experience with the operation and maintenance of mowing equipment

Special knowledge/skills

Knowledge and understanding turf care and Athletic field management

Ability to supervise and schedule crews and equipment

Initiation of preventive maintenance service on grounds equipment

Maintaining of all grass athletic fields, mowing, marking, fertilization, and weed control

Ability to order and maintain supplies

Ability to keep an accurate schedule of all athletic events

Ability to follow directions

Ability to handle high-volume, fast paced work loads

Ability to get along with others

Ability to complete assignments in a timely and workable manner
