Pre-order meals

Order by Aug. 7 for meal coverage for Aug. 21-27 and Aug. 28-Sept. 3. Important: If you complete the pre-order meal form for curbside service, you will still need to complete a Free and Reduced-Price Meal Application for the 2020-2021 school year to determine eligibility status. 

Free and reduced-priced meal application

Don't forget to complete the 2020-21 Free and Reduced-Priced Meal Application. An new application is required every year to apply for and/or maintain current meal benefits. Parents should complete only one application for their family/household and list all students attending Garland ISD schools on the application.

Student Nutrition Services is excited to provide weekly curbside meal pick-up for remote learners.  To receive meals parents/guardians will need to complete an order form every two weeks for each Garland ISD student who would like meal service.  Parents/guardians can order breakfast, lunch or both meals for a two-week period.

How to order

  1. Determine the location where you want to pick up the meals. 
    1. You may choose any school to pick-up meals. It doesn't have to be the school your child attends. Parents with students at multiple schools may choose to pick-up all meals at one school site.
  2. Complete the order form based on the desired pick-up location by the order due date.
    1. A form MUST be completed for EACH student. You will need a valid student name and ID number.

EXAMPLE:  If you have students who attend three different schools but Abbett is your preferred pick-up site, you will need to fill out three Abbett forms, one for each student.

Meal pick-up process

Parents/guardians will need to show proof of GISD enrollment at meal pickup. (Student ID, Report Card, Skyward Login, etc.)


Visit  Menus are listed under each school.

The remote meals menu will include featured items such as Harvest of the Month and Farm Fresh Friday.  In addition, there will be a “Chef Crafted” recipe each week.

Meal costs and payments

Meals will be charged to the student’s account according to the student’s eligibility status and/or the eligibility designation of their home school (CEP, BIC, Universal-Free Breakfast).  

  • There must be sufficient funds in a student’s meal account to cover the cost of meals.
    • Set up your student’s meal account at, if you don't already have one.
  • Cash payments can be made on-site or arranged through the Student Nutrition Services office.

  • Reduced breakfast $.30
  • Reduced lunch $.40
  • Paid breakfast $1.50
  • Paid lunch $2.85

Frequently asked questions

Are meals available to any child under 19 years of age as was allowed during the spring 2020 semester and summer meal service?

Different regulations applied during the spring district shutdown and summer meal service program. Meals served during the school year are only available to enrolled Garland ISD students with a valid student ID.  Parents/guardians will need to show proof of GISD enrollment at meal pick up. (Student ID, Report Card, Skyward Login, etc.)

Do I have to pick up meals from my student’s home school?

Meal pick up does not have to be at the school your child is registered at.  You may order your meals for pickup at any school in the district.  You are able to pick the school most convenient for your family. Meals for multiple students may be picked up from any school site but an important note is that a form MUST be completed for EACH student meal. 

How will meals be packaged?

Meals will be packaged for breakfast and lunch for 5 school days (Friday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday).  Breakfast and Lunch meals will be packaged separately.

What if my home school is a CEP school?

All meals for students are free if a student is registered at a CEP school. For more information visit the free and reduced price meals page.

What if my student is registered at a “Breakfast in the Classroom” school or “Universal Free Breakfast” school?

Students registered at these schools receive free breakfast.  Lunch will be charged according to the student’s eligibility (Free, Reduced or Paid).  For more information visit breakfast programs page.

What if my students require a diet modification?

Any student who has a physician prescribed and physician signed Garland ISD Diet Modification Request Form on file can contact Menu Coordinator, Kristen Hess or visit special dietary needs page.
