GISD Employee Clinic offers staff affordable, quality healthcare

With healthcare costs on the rise, Garland ISD offers its staff an affordable and convenient resource—the GISD Employee Clinic. Opened in spring 2015, it treats minor illnesses, such as cough, sore throat and sinus pressure, for a $10 flat service fee. All full-time staff members, as well as their spouses and dependents, are welcome regardless of medical insurance enrollmentThe clinic accepts walk-ins from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 7:30 a.m.-noon Friday. Appointments are also scheduled from 1:30-5:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 12:30-3:30 p.m. Friday.

“If you are at school, start feeling bad and it is noon, you just come to the clinic,” said Manager Christi Rachal. "We will take care of you and get you back to work. We have a very friendly, well-experienced staff.
