Go Red Day

Friday, February 7, 2020

Heart disease accounts for nearly 1 of every 3 deaths. We as a community can change that. 80 percent of cardiac and stroke events may be prevented with education and action. That's why we are wearing something red on this day to show support and raise awareness about heart health.

Don't forget to make your heart health a priority. Schedule a prevention check-up to review your overall health so your doctor can measure blood pressure, check cholesterol and look for signs of heart disease, stroke and other illnesses.

By following the American Heart Association's Life's Simple Seven, you can keep your heart healthy.

Donations to American Heart Association and Go Red Day shirts

By donating $20 to the American Heart Association you can support their mission and earn a 2020 Go Red t-shirt. T-shirts are earned at the $20 donation level and ALL proceeds benefit the American Heart Association and its mission.

There are 2 ways to donate:

  • From your phone, text “DHCGARLAND” to 41444. You will immediately receive a donation link specifically for our district.
  • You can donate online through the American Heart Association.

Donations for shirts must be received by January 15 for shirts to be delivered in time for our GO RED DAY. Shirts will be delivered to your district location.
