The GISD Special Education Department presents, “Life planning for individuals with special needs” Hear important information to think about before and after age 18 for your child’s future financial security.
This workshop is for parents, caregivers, educators and anyone who services special needs children of any age. You can never start too early and it is never too late to get the information you need.
The main topic will include discussion about the different types of residential options and how to obtain them. Other important areas that will be briefly reviewed are SSI Medicaid Waivers, Medicaid, Social Programs, Wills, Trusts, Guardianship, and transition out of high school, life planning and more.
