Rediscover your community with a special summer reading challenge on myON and myON News.

Students who read 800 minutes or more from June 13-July 23 will be entered to win prizes. Prizes will be drawn live on Twitter on July 25 at 4 p.m. The top two elementary, middle and high schools who read the most will also get an award. 

Students, families and community members who complete the Reading Adventure Challenge will also be awarded prizes for each division. The mission will be from June 14-July 23.

MyON logoGarland ISD and Renaissance® have partnered with the cities of Garland, Rowlett and Sachse with the goal of creating a community of readers. We are thrilled to be able to provide residents of all ages with access to a digital library with thousands of books through myON® by Renaissance. 

Every community member can access myON Books for free on web-enabled devices such as tablets, laptops and desktop computers. Users will find books in Spanish and English, content for all reading levels and tools such as audio, text highlighting, zoom, and an embedded dictionary.

To get free access to myON books from any location with internet, register for a free account. Registration is available in English, Spanish and Vietnamese.
