National School Lunch Week
Created by John F. Kennedy in 1962, National School Lunch Week highlights the importance of a healthy school lunch and how it helps inside and outside of the classroom. This year the theme is “Blast off with a Healthy School Lunch", which explores how good fuel can help you go far. The goal of this week is to challenge students and staff to eat healthy foods that will keep them powered throughout the day.
Campuses across GISD are celebrating with a variety of activities. Check with your campus for details on special menu items and theme days.
