The data from this survey will be shared with a Design Team consisting of community members, parents, staff, and students who will use the data to create a framework for action for the district.

The Future is Bright

Developing a strategic future plan for the district is a multi-level process involving several types of input and plan development.

Process

Community input

Education summits and online survey invite general input from all GISD constituents.

Focus group feedback

Targeted feedback from designated groups including community members, district leaders, principals, parents, students and teachers.

Learning innovation framework design

A process to help clarify our vision for the ideal learner experience based on the characteristics, skills, and traits that our community desires for students in our schools.

Action team planning

Teams comprised of district staff, parents and community members create a list of specific actions to achieve identified goals.

Implementation

After board approval, district leadership determines how to implement the strategic plan over the next three to five years.
