9/14/20 Update: Selection form, Intersession, athletics, TRE and COVID-19 testing

Quarter 2 Selection Form deadline

Families still have time to change their instructional model selection of remote or face-to-face learning for the second grading period, which starts Oct. 12. The deadline to submit the Quarter 2 Instructional Model Selection Form has been extended to Friday, Sept. 18. If you would like your student to remain in their current instructional model, you do not need to submit a form.

Face-to-face learning begins Sept. 8

The launch of face-to-face learning is just one week away. Please note that only students who chose face-to-face learning on the Commitment Form should begin attending on campus September 8. If families did not make a selection on their Commitment Forms, they will continue remote learning. An opportunity to change your selection, if needed, will be coming soon.

8/18/20 Update: Athletics and fine arts, return-to-school video

Athletic, cheer, drill and marching band practices resume

In light of updated guidance from Dallas County Health and Human Services and the UIL, Garland ISD will resume its athletic strength and conditioning programs for football, volleyball, team tennis and cross country, as well as cheer, drill and marching band rehearsals, on Monday, August 24. 

8/17/20 Update: Curbside meals pick-up locations update

Garland ISD’s Student Nutrition Services is streamlining curbside meals pick-up sites for efficiency purposes. Starting Thursday, Aug. 20, curbside meals can be picked up from 37 district campuses. In addition, the form to order meals for Sept. 18-Oct. 1 opens Friday, Aug. 21. See our most up-to-date list of open pick-up sites on the curbside meals page.
