The Gilbreath-Reed Career and Technical Center was recently named one of just 13 high school InvenTeams by the Lemelson-MIT Program to create a technological invention that solves a problem stemming from the local community.
Ten GISD students have earned a prestigious title shared by just 16,000 high schoolers nationwide. The academically talented seniors were named National Merit Semifinalists—a distinction less than one percent of U.S. students received this year.
Garland ISD recently celebrated nine Class of 2020 graduates who received a total of $22,500 from a business partner, mentor and regular guest speaker at the Gilbreath-Reed Career and Technical Center.
