Curbside meals

Free weekend meals now offered to face-to-face learners

Free weekend meals are now offered to face-to-face learners. These free weekend meals can be picked up Thursdays from 5-6 p.m. at any of our 37 curbside meal pick-up schools. GISD families must provide verification whether their student is a remote or face-to-face learner. This designation can be found on the student's Skyward schedule or by verification email sent from the Student Nutrition Department. It is not necessary to pre-order weekend meals for face-to-face students.

Free meals for all students

As a result of The USDA extending COVID-19 flexibilities, we are now able to offer free meals to all students and to children 18 & under through our Curbside meals program.

Garland ISD students who are remote learners will be required to provide verification that they are registered as a remote learner. This can be verified by showing the email that was sent to all registered remote learners from the Student Nutrition Office or by showing their schedule in Skyward that shows they are registered as a remote learner.

Children 18 & under that are not Garland ISD students may also pick-up curbside meals.  They must bring a student ID card, report card, or birth certificate (for children younger than school age).

Meal pick-ups will be every Monday and Thursday from 5-6 pm.

Apply for free and reduced-price meals

Families that qualify for the free and reduced-price meal services should be sure to finish their application by Oct. 31. While meals are free for all students at this time, an application for Free & Reduced meals is still needed.  See if you qualify on the free and reduced-price meal page.

Student Nutrition Services is excited to provide weekly curbside meal pick-up for remote learners.  To receive meals parents/guardians will need to complete an order form every two weeks for each Garland ISD student who would like meal service.  Parents/guardians who complete the form will receive breakfast and lunch for a two-week period.
