Forced-entry Resistant Window Film
Forced-entry -resistant film at campus main entrances was part of the planned safety enhancements in Prop A of the 2023 Bond program.
Completed Summer 2024
Keeping our GISD family safe is an ongoing priority for the district. As part of Prop A of the 2023 Bond, each campus had forced-entry-resistant film installed at its main entrance.
Shatter-and entry-resistant window film deters unwanted individuals from entering a structure or campus and provides valuable time for an emergency response in the event of a critical incident.
Adding this type of resistant film helps slow or prevent windows from breaking by making them shatterproof. The film is made of multiple layers of tear-resistant materials. This helps glass stay in one piece even if hit with blunt force. Adding this film helps us continue to provide a safer environment for our students and staff.
