How Community Partners Support Our Schools
Garland ISD is fortunate to work alongside partners who contribute in a variety of meaningful ways to support student learning, staff development, and overall campus well-being. These individuals, businesses, nonprofits, and organizations enhance our schools through services and resources such as:
Mentoring and Youth Development
Many partners provide student mentoring programs—both one-on-one and group-based—as well as leadership development, college and career readiness support, and scholarship opportunities for high school students.
Donations of Goods and Supplies
From school supplies and books to food, clothing, and other essentials, community partners help meet the physical needs of students and families across the district.
Educational Programs and Services
Partners offer valuable programming, including early childhood education, special education support, substance abuse education, and college-level courses for students. Some also provide professional development for staff and educator-focused initiatives.
Events and Enrichment Opportunities
Several partners host campus events, offer recreational programs, and provide access to community facidtties, enhancing the learning experience beyond the classroom.
Health and Wellness Support
In addition to supporting basic needs, some partners offer free medical services and other wellness resources to students, families, and the broader community.
Through these collaborative efforts, our partners help remove barriers to learning, strengthen campus communities, and empower students to succeed—both in and out of the classroom.

The Garland ISD’s Community Partnership model reflects the district’s belief that when schools, families, local organizations, faith-based groups, businesses, and community members come together, we can cultivate lasting growth and opportunity for every student. Much like a shared garden, our district is made stronger when people from all walks of life—educators, students, volunteers, mentors, and community leaders—work side by side to build something meaningful. No matter the role or title, every hand helps this garden grow.
At Garland ISD, we believe community partnership is essential to student success. By investing time, resources, and relationships into our shared mission, we are growing a system rooted in trust, belonging, and shared responsibility.
The FACE department will work with you to design a program that fits your time, resources, and objective. Our focus is mission first, people always.
