Garland ISD’s top seniors stepped into the spotlight at Club 10, celebrating their achievements and the road ahead.

Previously known as Senior Summit, Club 10 was revamped last year to create a more lively and memorable experience for students and families while continuing to celebrate academic excellence and postsecondary success.

The celebration opened as students received exclusive Club 10 lanyards before stepping onto a red carpet to pose for photos with friends and family. Seniors then gathered in a VIP lounge, enjoying snacks and time together ahead of the program.

As the schools were announced, students walked into the ballroom with their classmates as families and staff cheered them on.

During lunch, Superintendent Dr. Ricardo López and Board President Johnny Beach delivered remarks recognizing the accomplishments of the Class of 2026.

Dr. López encouraged students to stay intentional as they move into their next chapter, emphasizing focus, relationships, and growth.

“We want you to be successful,” López said. “You’re going to be the next leaders.”

Board President Johnny Beach reflected on the shared journey between the district and its seniors and recognized the collective effort behind their success.

“This is a chance to celebrate students who have worked incredibly hard to reach this moment,” Beach said.

He also offered a message of perspective as students prepare for what comes next.

“Success isn’t just about where you end up,” he said. “It’s about how you treat people along the way.”

The celebration continued as students were invited onto the stage, where the principals announced each student by name and their postsecondary plans. As students crossed the stage, their school’s fight song played throughout the ballroom, adding another layer of school pride to the moment.

Students from Garland High School, Gilbreath-Reed Career and Technical Center (GRCTC), Lakeview Centennial High School, Memorial Pathway Academy, Naaman Forest High School, North Garland High School, Rowlett High School, Sachse High School, and South Garland High School were all included in the lineup, reflecting the full range of campuses and pathways available across the district.

The inclusion of traditional high schools and specialized campuses reflects GISD’s shared commitment to preparing students for life after graduation through both college and career-focused opportunities.

After all students were recognized, organizers shared closing remarks as families and staff celebrated together. Many parents expressed appreciation for the opportunity to recognize their students in such a meaningful way.

Each senior also received a framed portrait taken during a spring media day-style photo shoot coordinated by the communications department, serving as a keepsake from their senior year.

Club 10 continues to grow into a celebration that brings together school pride, student achievement, and the excitement of what comes next for Garland ISD seniors.
