In accordance with the requirements of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), Section 8306(a)(7), Garland Independent School District (Garland ISD) intends to apply for federal entitlement grant funds for the 2026–2027 school year. These funds support the district’s efforts to improve student outcomes, enhance instructional quality, and provide equitable educational opportunities for all students. Garland ISD anticipates submitting the 2026–2027 ESSA Consolidated Federal Grant Application on Thursday, June 25, 2026, for all ESSA grants for which the district is eligible.

In accordance with ESSA requirements, Garland ISD provided stakeholders with an opportunity to review and provide feedback regarding the district's planned use of federal grant funds for the 2026-2027 school year. The public comment period was open from May 18, 2026, through June 5, 2026.
