2026-2027 Compensation Updates
Garland ISD employee compensation updates were recently approved by the Board of Trustees during the Tuesday, April 28, 2026, board meeting.

Garland ISD has announced compensation updates for staff beginning in the 2026-2027 school year.
- Starting teacher salary of $63,000
- 4% increases for classroom teachers, campus staff, and auxiliary/paraprofessionals (based on midpoint)
- 2% increase for district-level professionals
- Teacher retention allotments ($2,500 for steps 2–3, $5,000 for 5+ years)
- Bus driver starting pay of $25.25 per hour
