myON Books

myON Winter wonderland challenge 

Grab a blanket, slippers and a cozy book with myON! Students can win by reading or writing during this special holiday challenge from Dec. 14-Jan. 5.

Students will log into myON through Ready Hub and community members through their personal myON accounts. See the myON winter challenge site for details. 

Read and write challenge

Students will read at least one winter book and write a short story to win this contest. Winners will be selected from PreK-2, grades 3-5, 6-8, and 9-12. See the winter challenge website for the prompt and rules.

Most minutes read challenge

Students and community members who read at least 300 minutes will be entered to win gift cards and other prizes. The top elementary, middle and high school with the most minutes read will be honored with a banner and other prizes.

Note: myON will be down from Dec. 21-22 for maintenance.

MyON logoGarland ISD and Renaissance® have partnered with the cities of Garland, Rowlett and Sachse with the goal of creating a community of readers. We are thrilled to be able to provide residents of all ages with access to a digital library with thousands of books through myON® by Renaissance. 

Every community member can access myON Books for free on web-enabled devices such as tablets, laptops and desktop computers. Users will find books in Spanish and English, content for all reading levels and tools such as audio, text highlighting, zoom, and an embedded dictionary.
