This rigorous course is aimed at giving students an opportunity for self-expression through writing building upon the basic grammatical skills acquired in previous courses. Students are exposed to a variety of written genres including the essay, the poem, the short story, and the play. Students will write within these genres and have the opportunity for their work to be evaluated by peers, as well as by the teacher.
