Application details for specific departments

Bus drivers

To be eligible for employment as a GISD bus driver you must:

  • Be 21 years of age or older
  • Pass a Physical Examination
  • Pass Drug and Alcohol Testing
  • Have a Motor Vehicle Report in Good Standing
  • Have a High School Diploma or GED equivalency
  • Have a Criminal History Check in good standing

Training will be provided to receive a Commercial Drivers License as well as the required State School Bus Driver Certification.

Student Nutrition Services

Full-time employment opportunities are available with Student Nutrition Services.

To be eligible for employment with the GISD Dept. of Student Nutrition Services you must:

  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Pass a Physical Examination

Opportunities are also available for Cafeteria Managers and Assistant Managers. To be eligible for Cafeteria Manager or Assistant Manager, you must:
