Fourth graders from WGA traveled to Austin and San Antonio to experience what they are learning in Texas History and Science. The students visited the Texas State Capitol where they met a couple of legislators, The Alamo, and the Inner Space Cavern.

Fourth grade students from Beaver MST traveled to Austin, TX to experience what they are learning in Texas History. The students visited the State Capitol where they met a couple of legislators and the Bullock Texas State History Museum.

Garland ISD has been awarded an inaugural Economic Mobility Award from The Commit Partnership for its work in preparing students for life after graduation.

Herfurth’s PTA is chosen as one of ten schools across the nation to pilot a Fire Safety Program.

The Garland ISD Change Agents were rewarded with a tailgate-themed celebration for their hard work throughout the year.

Student Nutrition Services partnered with the Culinary Institute of America and Pacific Northwest Canned Pears to create two pear-themed recipes.
